FAQ
Do we need to be an established band to work with you?
Not at all. We work with solo artists and bands across genres and at all stages. The only requirement is that you're serious about developing your project.
Is Dead Famous a PR company?
Not exactly. While we provide PR services on request, we also focus on building the professional materials and identity that make PR outreach more effective. Many artists attempt press outreach without strong foundations — we help you build those first.
What do you need from us to start?
Typically we’ll ask for your music links and existing photo/video. We’ll arrange a short interview to understand your project, your background, and your goals. From there, we handle the writing, structure and development - with your regular input.
Will we get a chance to review things before they are final?
Of course! This is a very collaborative process.
Drafts and ideas can be shared both ways - we want to help you accurately reflect your project, not impose something artificial.
What is included in the Tier One EPK?
Your EPK is built from the ground up and professionally structured to present your project clearly and confidently. This includes refined photography, organised music and video embeds. We will also accommodate reasonable minor edits to your EPK for up to 18 months.
Can we update the press release later when our release date is confirmed?
Yes. The press release can be written in advance and finalised closer to the release if needed.
Is the strategy advice practical or theoretical?
Everything we provide is intended to be practical and actionable - guidance you can immediately apply to your social media, press outreach and future releases.
Will this guarantee press coverage or festival bookings?
No one can guarantee those outcomes - no matter what they promise you. What we can do is ensure your project presents itself professionally and gives you the strongest possible chance.
Do you manage social media accounts?
We can provide day-to-day account management as a bespoke request. However, advice on social media direction and content is included in Tier Two as standard.
Can you pitch our music to labels or promoters?
Yes, that typically falls under bespoke projects. Our tiers specifically focus on building the materials and strategy that make those conversations more effective.
What makes this different from doing it ourselves?
Promoters, journalists and industry professionals often make decisions in seconds based on how a project presents itself. Most bands are deeply immersed in their own project. We provide an external professional perspective - translating your music into clear materials and messaging the industry understands and responds to.
What if we already have some of these materials?
That’s perfectly fine. We can refine or restructure existing materials where appropriate.
Still unsure if this is right for you?
No problem - feel free to get in touch and we can talk through your project.
